About Us
The Investment Banking Club at Syracuse University is a selective, student-run organization that prepares ambitious students for careers in investment banking and high finance. Members are chosen through a competitive interview process based on academic achievement, campus involvement, and a demonstrated interest in finance.
IBSU is designed to give members a disciplined approach to the recruiting process. Members meet twice a week throughout the semester, focusing on both the technical and behavioral skills required to compete, such as resume reviews, cold outreach guidance, coffee chat preparation, interview story development, and mock interviews.

How We Got Started
The Syracuse Investment Banking Club was founded in early 2023 by a small group of driven students united by a single mission: to grow Syracuse's presence on Wall Street. What began as the Syracuse Private Equity Club quickly evolved as its members at the time recognized an opportunity to build something bigger, a comprehensive platform for students passionate about investment banking and other high finance career paths.
Today, the Syracuse Investment Banking Club exists to give students the training, mentorship, and recruiting support they need to break into investment banking and high finance. What started as a small group of driven students with a shared ambition has become a community built on one idea, that with the right preparation and the right people behind you, Syracuse students can compete with anyone.
